1Ki 22:2 | C D S T K | And it came to pass in the third year, that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel. |
1Ki 22:3 | C D S T K | And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria? |
1Ki 22:4 | C D S T K | And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramothgilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses. |
1Ki 22:5 | C D S T K | And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day. |
1Ki 22:6 | C D S T K | Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king. |
1Ki 22:7 | C D S T K | And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him? |
1Ki 22:8 | C D S T K | And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. |
1Ki 22:9 | C D S T K | Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Hasten hither Micaiah the son of Imlah. |
1Ki 22:10 | C D S T K | And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them. |
1Ki 22:11 | C D S T K | And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them. |
1Ki 22:12 | C D S T | And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramothgilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king's hand. |
1Ki 22:13 | C D S T K | And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good. |
1Ki 22:14 | C D S T K | And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak. |
1Ki 22:15 | C D S T K | So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramothgilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king. |
1Ki 22:16 | C D S T | And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD? |
1Ki 22:17 | C D S T K | And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace. |
1Ki 22:18 | C D S T K | And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil? |
1Ki 22:19 | C D S T K | And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. |
1Ki 22:20 | C D S T | And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. |
1Ki 22:21 | C D S T K | And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. |
1Ki 22:22 | C D S T K | And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. |
1Ki 22:23 | C D S T | Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. |
1Ki 22:24 | C D S T K | But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee? |
1Ki 22:25 | C D S T K | And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself. |
1Ki 22:26 | C D S T K | And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son; |
1Ki 22:27 | C D S T K | And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace. |
1Ki 22:28 | C D S T | And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you. |
1Ki 22:29 | C D S T K | So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramothgilead. |
1Ki 22:30 | C D S T K | And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle. |
1Ki 22:31 | C D S T K | But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel. |
1Ki 22:32 | C D S T K | And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out. |
1Ki 22:33 | C D S T | And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him. |
1Ki 22:34 | C D S T K | And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded. |
1Ki 22:35 | C D S T K | And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot. |
1Ki 22:36 | C D S T K | And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country. |
1Ki 22:37 | C D S T | So the king died, and was brought to Samaria; and they buried the king in Samaria. |
1Ki 22:38 | C D S T K | And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armour; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake. |
1Ki 22:39 | C D S T K | Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he made, and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? |
1Ki 22:40 | C D S T | So Ahab slept with his fathers; and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead. |
1Ki 22:41 | C D S T K | And Jehoshaphat the son of Asa began to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab king of Israel. |
1Ki 22:42 | C D S T | Jehoshaphat was thirty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi. |
1Ki 22:43 | C D S T K | And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places. |
1Ki 22:44 | C D S T K | And Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel. |
1Ki 22:45 | C D S T K | Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, and his might that he shewed, and how he warred, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? |
1Ki 22:46 | C D S T K | And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land. |
1Ki 22:47 | C D S T K | There was then no king in Edom: a deputy was king. |
1Ki 22:48 | C D S T K | Jehoshaphat made ships of Tharshish to go to Ophir for gold: but they went not; for the ships were broken at Eziongeber. |
1Ki 22:49 | C D S T K | Then said Ahaziah the son of Ahab unto Jehoshaphat, Let my servants go with thy servants in the ships. But Jehoshaphat would not. |
1Ki 22:50 | C D S T | And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead. |

2Ch 17:3 | C D S T K | And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim; |
2Ch 17:4 | C D S T K | But sought to the LORD God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel. |
2Ch 17:5 | C D S T K | Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance. |
2Ch 17:6 | C D S T K | And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah. |
2Ch 17:7 | C D S T K | Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah. |
2Ch 17:8 | C D S T | And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests. |
2Ch 17:9 | C D S T K | And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people. |
2Ch 17:10 | C D S T | And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat. |
2Ch 17:11 | C D S T K | Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats. |
2Ch 17:12 | C D S T | And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store. |
2Ch 17:13 | C D S T | And he had much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war, mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem. |
2Ch 17:14 | C D S T K | And these are the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: Of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valour three hundred thousand. |
2Ch 17:15 | C D S T | And next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore thousand. |
2Ch 17:16 | C D S T | And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the LORD; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour. |
2Ch 17:17 | C D S T | And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valour, and with him armed men with bow and shield two hundred thousand. |
2Ch 17:18 | C D S T | And next him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for the war. |

2Ki 15:3 | C D S T | And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done; |
2Ki 15:4 | C D S T | Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places. |
2Ki 15:5 | C D S T K | And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land. |
2Ki 15:6 | C D S T | And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? |

2Ch 26:2 | C D S T K | He built Eloth, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers. |
2Ch 26:3 | C D S T | Sixteen years old was Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Jecoliah of Jerusalem. |
2Ch 26:4 | C D S T | And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah did. |
2Ch 26:5 | C D S T K | And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper. |
2Ch 26:6 | C D S T K | And he went forth and warred against the Philistines, and brake down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod, and built cities about Ashdod, and among the Philistines. |
2Ch 26:7 | C D S T K | And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gurbaal, and the Mehunims. |
2Ch 26:8 | C D S T K | And the Ammonites gave gifts to Uzziah: and his name spread abroad even to the entering in of Egypt; for he strengthened himself exceedingly. |
2Ch 26:9 | C D S T K | Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gate, and at the valley gate, and at the turning of the wall, and fortified them. |
2Ch 26:10 | C D S T K | Also he built towers in the desert, and digged many wells: for he had much cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains: husbandmen also, and vine dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved husbandry. |
2Ch 26:11 | C D S T K | Moreover Uzziah had an host of fighting men, that went out to war by bands, according to the number of their account by the hand of Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the ruler, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the king's captains. |
2Ch 26:12 | C D S T | The whole number of the chief of the fathers of the mighty men of valour were two thousand and six hundred. |
2Ch 26:13 | C D S T K | And under their hand was an army, three hundred thousand and seven thousand and five hundred, that made war with mighty power, to help the king against the enemy. |
2Ch 26:14 | C D S T K | And Uzziah prepared for them throughout all the host shields, and spears, and helmets, and habergeons, and bows, and slings to cast stones. |
2Ch 26:15 | C D S T K | And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong. |
2Ch 26:16 | C D S T K | But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense. |
2Ch 26:17 | C D S T | And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men: |
2Ch 26:18 | C D S T | And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God. |
2Ch 26:19 | C D S T | Then Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in his hand to burn incense: and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar. |

2Ch 26:22 | C D S T K | Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, did Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, write. |
2Ch 26:23 | C D S T K | So Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial which belonged to the kings; for they said, He is a leper: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead. |
