2Ki 20:16 | C D S R | And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD. |
2Ki 20:17 | C D S R | Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD. |
2Ki 20:18 | C D S R K | And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. |
2Ki 20:19 | C D S R K | Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my days? |

Jer 20:4 | C D S R K | For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword. |
Jer 20:5 | C D S R K | Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon. |
Jer 20:6 | C D S R K | And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies. |
Jer 20:7 | C D S R K | O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. |

Jer 21:1 | C D S R K | The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying, |
Jer 21:2 | C D S R K | Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us. |
Jer 21:3 | C D S | Then said Jeremiah unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah: |
Jer 21:4 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city. |
Jer 21:5 | C D S R K | And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath. |
Jer 21:6 | C D S R K | And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence. |
Jer 21:7 | C D S R K | And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. |
Jer 21:8 | C D S R K | And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. |
Jer 21:9 | C D S R K | He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. |
Jer 21:10 | C D S R K | For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. |
Jer 21:11 | C D S R K | And touching the house of the king of Judah, say, Hear ye the word of the LORD; |
Jer 21:12 | C D S R K | O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. |
Jer 21:13 | C D S R K | Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations? |
Jer 21:14 | C D S R K | But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. |

Jer 22:1 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word, |
Jer 22:2 | C D S R K | And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates: |
Jer 22:3 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. |
Jer 22:4 | C D S R K | For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people. |
Jer 22:5 | C D S R K | But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation. |
Jer 22:6 | C D S R K | For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited. |
Jer 22:7 | C D S R K | And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. |
Jer 22:8 | C D S R K | And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city? |
Jer 22:9 | C D S R K | Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them. |
Jer 22:10 | C S R K | Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country. |
Jer 22:11 | C D S R | For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more: |
Jer 22:12 | C D S R | But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more. |
Jer 22:13 | C D S R K | Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work; |
Jer 22:14 | C D S R K | That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. |
Jer 22:15 | C D S R K | Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him? |
Jer 22:16 | C D S R K | He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD. |
Jer 22:17 | C D S R K | But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it. |
Jer 22:18 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah; They shall not lament for him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament for him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory! |
Jer 22:19 | C D S R K | He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem. |
Jer 22:20 | C D S R K | Go up to Lebanon, and cry; and lift up thy voice in Bashan, and cry from the passages: for all thy lovers are destroyed. |
Jer 22:21 | C S R K | I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice. |
Jer 22:22 | C D S R K | The wind shall eat up all thy pastors, and thy lovers shall go into captivity: surely then shalt thou be ashamed and confounded for all thy wickedness. |
Jer 22:23 | C D S R K | O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest in the cedars, how gracious shalt thou be when pangs come upon thee, the pain as of a woman in travail! |
Jer 22:24 | C D S R K | As I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence; |
Jer 22:25 | C D S R K | And I will give thee into the hand of them that seek thy life, and into the hand of them whose face thou fearest, even into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans. |
Jer 22:26 | C D S R K | And I will cast thee out, and thy mother that bare thee, into another country, where ye were not born; and there shall ye die. |
Jer 22:27 | C S R K | But to the land whereunto they desire to return, thither shall they not return. |
Jer 22:28 | C D S R K | Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not? |
Jer 22:29 | C D S R K | O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD. |
Jer 22:30 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne of David, and ruling any more in Judah. |

Jer 25:3 | C D S R K | From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the LORD hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened. |
Jer 25:4 | C D S R K | And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear. |
Jer 25:5 | C D S R K | They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: |
Jer 25:6 | C D S R K | And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt. |
Jer 25:7 | C D S R K | Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the LORD; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt. |
Jer 25:8 | C D S | Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Because ye have not heard my words, |
Jer 25:9 | C D S R K | Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations. |
Jer 25:10 | C D S R K | Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle. |
Jer 25:11 | C D S R K | And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. |

Jer 27:1 | C D S R K | In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, |
Jer 27:2 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck, |
Jer 27:3 | C D S R K | And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah; |
Jer 27:4 | C D S R | And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters; |
Jer 27:5 | C D S R K | I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me. |
Jer 27:6 | C D S R K | And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him. |
Jer 27:7 | C D S R K | And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him. |
Jer 27:8 | C D S R K | And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. |
Jer 27:9 | C D S R K | Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: |
Jer 27:10 | C S R K | For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish. |
Jer 27:11 | C D S R K | But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein. |
Jer 27:12 | C D S R K | I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live. |
Jer 27:13 | C D S R K | Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? |
Jer 27:14 | C D S R K | Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you. |
Jer 27:15 | C D S R K | For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you. |
Jer 27:16 | C D S R K | Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you. |
Jer 27:17 | C D S R | Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste? |
Jer 27:18 | C D S R K | But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon. |
Jer 27:19 | C D S R K | For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city, |
Jer 27:20 | C D S R | Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem; |
Jer 27:21 | C D S | Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem; |
Jer 27:22 | C D S R K | They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place. |

Jer 28:1 | C D S R K | And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying, |
Jer 28:2 | C D S R K | Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. |
Jer 28:3 | C D S R K | Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD'S house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon: |
Jer 28:4 | C D S R K | And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. |
Jer 28:5 | C D S R K | Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD, |
Jer 28:6 | C D S R K | Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD'S house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place. |
Jer 28:7 | C D S R | Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people; |
Jer 28:8 | C D S R K | The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence. |
Jer 28:9 | C D S R K | The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him. |
Jer 28:10 | C D S R K | Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it. |
Jer 28:11 | C D S R K | And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way. |
Jer 28:12 | C D S R | Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, |
Jer 28:13 | C D S R K | Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron. |
Jer 28:14 | C D S R K | For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also. |
Jer 28:15 | C D S R K | Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie. |
Jer 28:16 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD. |
Jer 28:17 | C D S R K | So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month. |

Jer 29:1 | C D S R K | Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon; |
Jer 29:2 | C D S R K | (After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;) |
Jer 29:3 | C D S R K | By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying, |
Jer 29:4 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon; |
Jer 29:5 | C D S R K | Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; |
Jer 29:6 | C D S R K | Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished. |
Jer 29:7 | C D S R K | And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace. |
Jer 29:8 | C D S R K | For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. |
Jer 29:9 | C D S R | For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD. |
Jer 29:10 | C D S R K | For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place. |
Jer 29:11 | C D S R K | For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. |
Jer 29:12 | C D S R K | Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. |
Jer 29:13 | C D S R K | And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. |
Jer 29:14 | C D S R K | And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. |
Jer 29:15 | C D S R K | Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon; |
Jer 29:16 | C D S R K | Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity; |
Jer 29:17 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. |
Jer 29:18 | C D S R K | And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: |
Jer 29:19 | C D S R | Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD. |
Jer 29:20 | C D S R | Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon: |
Jer 29:21 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes; |
Jer 29:22 | C D S R K | And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire; |
Jer 29:23 | C D S R K | Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD. |
Jer 29:24 | C D S R K | Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying, |
Jer 29:25 | C D S R K | Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying, |
Jer 29:26 | C D S R K | The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks. |
Jer 29:27 | C D S R K | Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you? |
Jer 29:28 | C D S K | For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them. |
Jer 29:29 | C D S K | And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet. |
Jer 29:30 | C D S K | Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying, |
Jer 29:31 | C D S R | Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie: |
Jer 29:32 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD. |

Jer 34:2 | C D S R | Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire: |
Jer 34:3 | C D S R K | And thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon. |
Jer 34:4 | C D S K | Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword: |
Jer 34:5 | C D S R K | But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD. |
Jer 34:6 | C D S R | Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem, |
Jer 34:7 | C D S R K | When the king of Babylon's army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities remained of the cities of Judah. |
Jer 34:8 | C D S R K | This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them; |
Jer 34:9 | C D S R K | That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit, of a Jew his brother. |
Jer 34:10 | C D S R | Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of them any more, then they obeyed, and let them go. |
Jer 34:11 | C S R K | But afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids. |
Jer 34:12 | C D S | Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, |
Jer 34:13 | C D S R K | Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying, |
Jer 34:14 | C D S R K | At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear. |
Jer 34:15 | C D S R K | And ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name: |
Jer 34:16 | C D S R K | But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom ye had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids. |
Jer 34:17 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. |
Jer 34:18 | C D S R K | And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the parts thereof, |
Jer 34:19 | C D S R | The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between the parts of the calf; |
Jer 34:20 | C D S R K | I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth. |
Jer 34:21 | C D S R K | And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon's army, which are gone up from you. |
Jer 34:22 | C D S R K | Behold, I will command, saith the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant. |

Jer 36:29 | C D S R K | And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast? |

Jer 38:17 | C D S R K | Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house: |
Jer 38:18 | C D S R | But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand. |

Jer 43:8 | C D S R K | Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying, |
Jer 43:9 | C D S R K | Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah; |
Jer 43:10 | C D S R K | And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them. |
Jer 43:11 | C D S R K | And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword. |
Jer 43:12 | C D S R K | And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace. |
Jer 43:13 | C D S R K | He shall break also the images of Bethshemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire. |

Jer 46:13 | C D S R K | The word that the LORD spake to Jeremiah the prophet, how Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon should come and smite the land of Egypt. |
Jer 46:14 | C D S R K | Declare ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph and in Tahpanhes: say ye, Stand fast, and prepare thee; for the sword shall devour round about thee. |
Jer 46:15 | C D S R K | Why are thy valiant men swept away? they stood not, because the LORD did drive them. |
Jer 46:16 | C D S R K | He made many to fall, yea, one fell upon another: and they said, Arise, and let us go again to our own people, and to the land of our nativity, from the oppressing sword. |
Jer 46:17 | C D S R K | They did cry there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath passed the time appointed. |
Jer 46:18 | C D S R K | As I live, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come. |
Jer 46:19 | C D S R K | O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant. |
Jer 46:20 | C D S R K | Egypt is like a very fair heifer, but destruction cometh; it cometh out of the north. |
Jer 46:21 | C D S R K | Also her hired men are in the midst of her like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back, and are fled away together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was come upon them, and the time of their visitation. |
Jer 46:22 | C D S R K | The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood. |
Jer 46:23 | C D S R K | They shall cut down her forest, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. |
Jer 46:24 | C D S R K | The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north. |
Jer 46:25 | C D S R K | The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him: |
Jer 46:26 | C D S R K | And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the LORD. |

Eze 12:1 | C D S K | The word of the LORD also came unto me, saying, |
Eze 12:2 | C D S R K | Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house. |
Eze 12:3 | C D S R K | Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house. |
Eze 12:4 | C D S R K | Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity. |
Eze 12:5 | C D S R K | Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby. |
Eze 12:6 | C D S R K | In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel. |
Eze 12:7 | C D S R K | And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in their sight. |
Eze 12:8 | C D S | And in the morning came the word of the LORD unto me, saying, |
Eze 12:9 | C D S R K | Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou? |
Eze 12:10 | C D S R K | Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them. |
Eze 12:11 | C D S R K | Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity. |
Eze 12:12 | C D S R K | And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes. |
Eze 12:13 | C D S R K | My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there. |
Eze 12:14 | C D S R K | And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them. |
Eze 12:15 | C D S R | And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries. |
Eze 12:16 | C D S R K | But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
Eze 12:17 | C D S | Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, |
Eze 12:18 | C D S R K | Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness; |
Eze 12:19 | C D S R K | And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein. |
Eze 12:20 | C D S R K | And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. |
Eze 12:21 | C D S K | And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 12:22 | C D S R K | Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth? |
Eze 12:23 | C D S R K | Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision. |
Eze 12:24 | C D S R K | For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel. |
Eze 12:25 | C D S R K | For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD. |
Eze 12:26 | C D S | Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying, |
Eze 12:27 | C D S R K | Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off. |
Eze 12:28 | C D S R | Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD. |

Eze 17:1 | C D S K | And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 17:2 | C D S K | Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel; |
Eze 17:3 | C D S R K | And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar: |
Eze 17:4 | C D S R K | He cropped off the top of his young twigs, and carried it into a land of traffick; he set it in a city of merchants. |
Eze 17:5 | C D S R K | He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful field; he placed it by great waters, and set it as a willow tree. |
Eze 17:6 | C D S R K | And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots thereof were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs. |
Eze 17:7 | C D S R K | There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers: and, behold, this vine did bend her roots toward him, and shot forth her branches toward him, that he might water it by the furrows of her plantation. |
Eze 17:8 | C D S R K | It was planted in a good soil by great waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a goodly vine. |
Eze 17:9 | C D S R K | Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof. |
Eze 17:10 | C D S R K | Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? it shall wither in the furrows where it grew. |
Eze 17:11 | C D S | Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 17:12 | C D S R K | Say now to the rebellious house, Know ye not what these things mean? tell them, Behold, the king of Babylon is come to Jerusalem, and hath taken the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and led them with him to Babylon; |
Eze 17:13 | C D S R K | And hath taken of the king's seed, and made a covenant with him, and hath taken an oath of him: he hath also taken the mighty of the land: |
Eze 17:14 | C D S R K | That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping of his covenant it might stand. |
Eze 17:15 | C D S R K | But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered? |
Eze 17:16 | C D S R K | As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die. |
Eze 17:17 | C D S R K | Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons: |
Eze 17:18 | C D S R K | Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape. |
Eze 17:19 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As I live, surely mine oath that he hath despised, and my covenant that he hath broken, even it will I recompense upon his own head. |
Eze 17:20 | C D S R K | And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me. |
Eze 17:21 | C D S R K | And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken it. |
Eze 17:22 | C D S R K | Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent: |
Eze 17:23 | C D S R K | In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell. |
Eze 17:24 | C D S R K | And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it. |

Eze 19:1 | C D S R K | Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel, |
Eze 19:2 | C D S R K | And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions. |
Eze 19:3 | C D S R K | And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men. |
Eze 19:4 | C D S R K | The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt. |
Eze 19:5 | C D S R K | Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion. |
Eze 19:6 | C D S R K | And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and devoured men. |
Eze 19:7 | C D S R K | And he knew their desolate palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate, and the fulness thereof, by the noise of his roaring. |
Eze 19:8 | C D S R K | Then the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit. |
Eze 19:9 | C D S R K | And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel. |
Eze 19:10 | C D S R K | Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters. |
Eze 19:11 | C D S R K | And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches. |
Eze 19:12 | C D S R K | But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them. |
Eze 19:13 | C D S R K | And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground. |
Eze 19:14 | C D S R K | And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation. |

Eze 21:1 | C D S K | And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 21:2 | C D S R K | Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel, |
Eze 21:3 | C D S R K | And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked. |
Eze 21:4 | C D S R K | Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north: |
Eze 21:5 | C D S R | That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more. |
Eze 21:6 | C D S R K | Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes. |
Eze 21:7 | C D S R K | And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD. |
Eze 21:8 | C D S K | Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 21:9 | C D S R K | Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: |
Eze 21:10 | C D S R K | It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree. |
Eze 21:11 | C D S R K | And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer. |
Eze 21:12 | C D S R K | Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh. |
Eze 21:13 | C D S R K | Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord GOD. |
Eze 21:14 | C D S R K | Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers. |
Eze 21:15 | C D S R K | I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter. |
Eze 21:16 | C D S R K | Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set. |
Eze 21:17 | C D S R K | I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it. |
Eze 21:18 | C D S K | The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, |
Eze 21:19 | C D S R K | Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city. |
Eze 21:20 | C D S R K | Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced. |
Eze 21:21 | C D S R K | For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver. |
Eze 21:22 | C D S R K | At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort. |
Eze 21:23 | C D S R K | And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken. |
Eze 21:24 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand. |
Eze 21:25 | C D S R K | And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end, |
Eze 21:26 | C D S R K | Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. |
Eze 21:27 | C S R K | I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. |
Eze 21:28 | C D S R K | And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering: |
Eze 21:29 | C D S R K | Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end. |
Eze 21:30 | C D S R K | Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity. |
Eze 21:31 | C D S R K | And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy. |
Eze 21:32 | C D S R K | Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the LORD have spoken it. |

Eze 24:1 | C D S R K | Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 24:2 | C D S R K | Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day. |
Eze 24:3 | C D S R K | And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it: |
Eze 24:4 | C D S R K | Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones. |
Eze 24:5 | C D S R K | Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein. |
Eze 24:6 | C D S R K | Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it. |
Eze 24:7 | C D S R K | For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust; |
Eze 24:8 | C D S R K | That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered. |
Eze 24:9 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great. |
Eze 24:10 | C D S R K | Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned. |
Eze 24:11 | C D S R K | Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed. |
Eze 24:12 | C D S R K | She hath wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall be in the fire. |
Eze 24:13 | C D S R K | In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee. |
Eze 24:14 | C D S R K | I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD. |
Eze 24:15 | C D S K | Also the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 24:16 | C D S R K | Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down. |
Eze 24:17 | C D S R K | Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men. |
Eze 24:18 | C D S R | So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded. |
Eze 24:19 | C D S R K | And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so? |
Eze 24:20 | C D S | Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 24:21 | C D S R K | Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword. |
Eze 24:22 | C D S R K | And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men. |
Eze 24:23 | C D S R K | And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities, and mourn one toward another. |
Eze 24:24 | C D S R K | Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD. |
Eze 24:25 | C D S R K | Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters, |
Eze 24:26 | C D S R | That he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee, to cause thee to hear it with thine ears? |
Eze 24:27 | C D S R | In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I am the LORD. |

Eze 26:1 | C D S R K | And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 26:2 | C D S R K | Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste: |
Eze 26:3 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up. |
Eze 26:4 | C D S R | And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock. |
Eze 26:5 | C D S R K | It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. |
Eze 26:6 | C D S R K | And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
Eze 26:7 | C D S R K | For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people. |
Eze 26:8 | C D S R | He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee. |
Eze 26:9 | C D S R K | And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers. |
Eze 26:10 | C D S R K | By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach. |
Eze 26:11 | C D S R K | With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground. |
Eze 26:12 | C D S R K | And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water. |
Eze 26:13 | C D S R K | And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard. |
Eze 26:14 | C D S R K | And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. |
Eze 26:15 | C D S R K | Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee? |
Eze 26:16 | C D S R K | Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee. |
Eze 26:17 | C D S R K | And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it! |
Eze 26:18 | C D S R K | Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure. |
Eze 26:19 | C D S R K | For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee; |
Eze 26:20 | C D S R K | When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living; |
Eze 26:21 | C D S R K | I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD. |

Eze 29:18 | C D S R K | Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it: |
Eze 29:19 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army. |
Eze 29:20 | C D S R K | I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD. |

Eze 30:2 | C D S R K | Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day! |
Eze 30:3 | C D S R K | For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen. |
Eze 30:4 | C D S R K | And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down. |
Eze 30:5 | C D S R K | Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword. |

Eze 30:10 | C D S R K | Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon. |
Eze 30:11 | C D S R | He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain. |
Eze 30:12 | C D S R K | And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it. |
Eze 30:13 | C D S R K | Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt. |
Eze 30:14 | C D S R K | And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No. |
Eze 30:15 | C D S R K | And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No. |
Eze 30:16 | C D S R K | And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily. |
Eze 30:17 | C D S R K | The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity. |
Eze 30:18 | C D S R K | At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity. |
Eze 30:19 | C D S R | Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
Eze 30:20 | C D S R K | And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 30:21 | C D S R K | Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword. |
Eze 30:22 | C D S R K | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand. |
Eze 30:23 | C S R | And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries. |
Eze 30:24 | C D S R | And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man. |
Eze 30:25 | C D S R | But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt. |
Eze 30:26 | C D S R | And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the LORD. |

Eze 32:1 | C D S R K | And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, |
Eze 32:2 | C D S R K | Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers. |
Eze 32:3 | C D S R K | Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net. |
Eze 32:4 | C D S R K | Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with thee. |
Eze 32:5 | C D S K | And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height. |
Eze 32:6 | C D S R K | I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee. |
Eze 32:7 | C D S R K | And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. |
Eze 32:8 | C D S R | All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD. |
Eze 32:9 | C D S R K | I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known. |
Eze 32:10 | C D S R K | Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall. |
Eze 32:11 | C D S R | For thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee. |
Eze 32:12 | C D S R | By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed. |
Eze 32:13 | C D S R K | I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them. |
Eze 32:14 | C D S K | Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord GOD. |
Eze 32:15 | C D S R | When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD. |

Eze 32:23 | C D S R K | Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living. |
Eze 32:24 | C D S R K | There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit. |
Eze 32:25 | C D S R K | They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain. |
Eze 32:26 | C D S R K | There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living. |
Eze 32:27 | C D S R K | And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. |
Eze 32:28 | C D S R K | Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword. |
