BAMAH, PLURAL BAMOTH | High places, Eze 20:29. Bamoth-baal was a station of the Hebrews, in the border of Moab, Nu 21:20 22:41; afterwards assigned to the tribe of Reuben, Jos 13:17. Baal was worshipped there, and it was perhaps the "high places" referred to in Isa 15:2. See HIGH PLACES. |
