A Commentary, Critical, Practical, and Explanatory on the Old and New Testaments, by Robert Jamieson, A.R. Fausset and David Brown [1882]
Here the fifty-third chapter ought to begin, and the fifty-second chapter end with Isa 52:12. This section, from here to end of the fifty-third chapter settles the controversy with the Jews, if Messiah be the person meant; and with infidels, if written by Isaiah, or at any time before Christ. The correspondence with the life and death of Jesus Christ is so minute, that it could not have resulted from conjecture or accident. An impostor could not have shaped the course of events so as to have made his character and life appear to be a fulfilment of it. The writing is, moreover, declaredly prophetic. The quotations of it in the New Testament show: (1) that it was, before the time of Jesus, a recognized part of the Old Testament; (2) that it refers to Messiah (Mat 8:17; Mar 15:28; Luk 22:37; Joh 12:38; Act 8:28-35; Rom 10:16; Pe1 2:21-25). The indirect allusions to it still more clearly prove the Messianic interpretation; so universal was that interpretation, that it is simply referred to in connection with the atoning virtue of His death, without being formally quoted (Mar 9:12; Rom 4:25; Co1 15:3; Co2 5:21; Pe1 1:19; Pe1 2:21-25; Jo1 3:5). The genuineness of the passage is certain; for the Jews would not have forged it, since it is opposed to their notion of Messiah, as a triumphant temporal prince. The Christians could not have forged it; for the Jews, the enemies of Christianity, are "our librarians" [PALEY]. The Jews try to evade its force by the figment of two Messiahs, one a suffering Messiah (Ben Joseph), the other a triumphant Messiah (Ben David). HILLEL maintained that Messiah has already come in the person of Hezekiah. BUXTORF states that many of the modern Rabbins believe that He has been come a good while, but will not manifest Himself because of the sins of the Jews. But the ancient Jews, as the Chaldee paraphrast, Jonathan, refer it to Messiah; so the Medrasch Tauchuma (a commentary on the Pentateuch); also Rabbi Moses Haddarschan (see HENGSTENBERG, Christology of the Old Testament). Some explain it of the Jewish people, either in the Babylonish exile, or in their present sufferings and dispersion. Others, the pious portion of the nation taken collectively, whose sufferings made a vicarious satisfaction for the ungodly. Others, Isaiah, or Jeremiah [GESENIUS], the prophets collectively. But an individual is plainly described: he suffers voluntarily, innocently, patiently, and as the efficient cause of the righteousness of His people, which holds good of none other but Messiah (Isa 53:4-6, Isa 53:9, Isa 53:11; contrast Jer 20:7; Jer 15:10-21; Psa 137:8-9). Isa 53:9 can hold good of none other. The objection that the sufferings (Isa 53:1-10) referred to are represented as past, the glorification alone as future (Isa 52:13-15; Isa 53:11-12) arises from not seeing that the prophet takes his stand in the midst of the scenes which he describes as future. The greater nearness of the first advent, and the interval between it and the second, are implied by the use of the past tense as to the first, the future as to the second.

Behold--awakening attention to the striking picture of Messiah that follows (compare Joh 19:5, Joh 19:14).

my servant--Messiah (Isa 42:1).

deal prudently--rather, "prosper" [GESENIUS] as the parallel clause favors (Isa 53:10). Or, uniting both meanings, "shall reign well" [HENGSTENBERG]. This verse sets forth in the beginning the ultimate issue of His sufferings, the description of which follows: the conclusion (Isa 53:12) corresponds; the section (Isa 52:13; Isa 53:12) begins as it ends with His final glory.

extolled--elevated (Mar 16:19; Eph 1:20-22; Pe1 3:22).

22 Who [3739] is gone [4198] into [1519] heaven [3772], and is [2076] on [1722] the right hand [1188] of God [2316]; angels [32] and [2532] authorities [1849] and [2532] powers [1411] being made subject [5293] unto him [846].
20 Which [3739] he wrought [1754] in [1722] Christ [5547], when he raised [1453] him [846] from [1537] the dead [3498], and [2532] set [2523] him at [1722] his own [846] right hand [1188] in [1722] the heavenly [2032] places,
21 Far above [5231] all [3956] principality [746], and [2532] power [1849], and [2532] might [1411], and [2532] dominion [2963], and [2532] every [3956] name [3686] that is named [3687], not [3756] only [3440] in [1722] this [5129] world [165], but [235] also [2532] in [1722] that which is to come [3195]:
22 And [2532] hath put [5293] all [3956] things under [5259] his [846] feet [4228], and [2532] gave [1325] him [846] to be the head [2776] over [5228] all [3956] things to the church [1577],
19 So [3303] then [3767] after [3326] the Lord [2962] had spoken [2980] unto them [846], he was received up [353] into [1519] heaven [3772], and [2532] sat [2523] on [1537] the right hand [1188] of God [2316].
12 Therefore will I divide [02505] him a portion with the great [07227], and he shall divide [02505] the spoil [07998] with the strong [06099]; because he hath poured out [06168] his soul [05315] unto death [04194]: and he was numbered [04487] with the transgressors [06586]; and he bare [05375] the sin [02399] of many [07227], and made intercession [06293] for the transgressors [06586].
13 Behold, my servant [05650] shall deal prudently [07919], he shall be exalted [07311] and extolled [05375], and be very [03966] high [01361].
10 Yet it pleased [02654] the LORD [03068] to bruise [01792] him; he hath put him to grief [02470]: when thou shalt make [07760] his soul [05315] an offering for sin [0817], he shall see [07200] his seed [02233], he shall prolong [0748] his days [03117], and the pleasure [02656] of the LORD [03068] shall prosper [06743] in his hand [03027].
1 Behold my servant [05650], whom I uphold [08551]; mine elect [0972], in whom my soul [05315] delighteth [07521]; I have put [05414] my spirit [07307] upon him: he shall bring forth [03318] judgment [04941] to the Gentiles [01471].
14 And [1161] it was [2258] the preparation [3904] of the passover [3957], and [1161] about [5616] the sixth [1623] hour [5610]: and [2532] he saith [3004] unto the Jews [2453], Behold [2396] your [5216] King [935]!
5 Then [3767] came [1831] Jesus [2424] forth [1854], wearing [5409] the crown [4735] of thorns [174], and [2532] the purple [4210] robe [2440]. And [2532] Pilate saith [3004] unto them [846], Behold [2396] the man [444]!
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
14 As many [07227] were astonied [08074] at thee; his visage [04758] was so marred [04893] more than any man [0376], and his form [08389] more than the sons [01121] of men [0120]:
15 So shall he sprinkle [05137] many [07227] nations [01471]; the kings [04428] shall shut [07092] their mouths [06310] at him: for that which had not been told [05608] them shall they see [07200]; and that which they had not heard [08085] shall they consider [0995].
1 Who hath believed [0539] our report [08052]? and to whom is the arm [02220] of the LORD [03068] revealed [01540]?
2 For he shall grow up [05927] before [06440] him as a tender plant [03126], and as a root [08328] out of a dry [06723] ground [0776]: he hath no form [08389] nor comeliness [01926]; and when we shall see [07200] him, there is no beauty [04758] that we should desire [02530] him.
3 He is despised [0959] and rejected [02310] of men [0376]; a man [0376] of sorrows [04341], and acquainted [03045] with grief [02483]: and we hid as it were [04564] our faces [06440] from him; he was despised [0959], and we esteemed [02803] him not.
4 Surely [0403] he hath borne [05375] our griefs [02483], and carried [05445] our sorrows [04341]: yet we did esteem [02803] him stricken [05060], smitten [05221] of God [0430], and afflicted [06031].
5 But he was wounded [02490] for our transgressions [06588], he was bruised [01792] for our iniquities [05771]: the chastisement [04148] of our peace [07965] was upon him; and with his stripes [02250] we are healed [07495].
6 All we like sheep [06629] have gone astray [08582]; we have turned [06437] every one [0376] to his own way [01870]; and the LORD [03068] hath laid [06293] on him the iniquity [05771] of us all.
7 He was oppressed [05065], and he was afflicted [06031], yet he opened [06605] not his mouth [06310]: he is brought [02986] as a lamb [07716] to the slaughter [02874], and as a sheep [07353] before [06440] her shearers [01494] is dumb [0481], so he openeth [06605] not his mouth [06310].
8 He was taken [03947] from prison [06115] and from judgment [04941]: and who shall declare [07878] his generation [01755]? for he was cut off [01504] out of the land [0776] of the living [02416]: for the transgression [06588] of my people [05971] was he stricken [05061].
9 And he made [05414] his grave [06913] with the wicked [07563], and with the rich [06223] in his death [04194]; because he had done [06213] no violence [02555], neither was any deceit [04820] in his mouth [06310].
9 And he made [05414] his grave [06913] with the wicked [07563], and with the rich [06223] in his death [04194]; because he had done [06213] no violence [02555], neither was any deceit [04820] in his mouth [06310].
8 O daughter [01323] of Babylon [0894], who art to be destroyed [07703]; happy [0835] shall he be, that rewardeth [07999] thee as thou hast served [01580] [01576] us.
9 Happy [0835] shall he be, that taketh [0270] and dasheth [05310] thy little ones [05768] against the stones [05553].
10 Woe [0188] is me, my mother [0517], that thou hast borne [03205] me a man [0376] of strife [07379] and a man [0376] of contention [04066] to the whole earth [0776]! I have neither lent on usury [05383], nor men have lent to me on usury [05383]; yet every one of them doth curse [07043] me.
11 The LORD [03068] said [0559], Verily [03808] [0518] it shall be well [02896] with thy remnant [08281] [08293]; verily [0518] I will cause the enemy [0341] to entreat [06293] thee well in the time [06256] of evil [07451] and in the time [06256] of affliction [06869].
12 Shall iron [01270] break [07489] the northern [06828] iron [01270] and the steel [05178]?
13 Thy substance [02428] and thy treasures [0214] will I give [05414] to the spoil [0957] without price [04242], and that for all thy sins [02403], even in all thy borders [01366].
14 And I will make thee to pass [05674] with thine enemies [0341] into a land [0776] which thou knowest [03045] not: for a fire [0784] is kindled [06919] in mine anger [0639], which shall burn [03344] upon you.
15 O LORD [03068], thou knowest [03045]: remember [02142] me, and visit [06485] me, and revenge [05358] me of my persecutors [07291]; take me not away [03947] in thy longsuffering [0639] [0750]: know [03045] that for thy sake I have suffered [05375] rebuke [02781].
16 Thy words [01697] were found [04672], and I did eat [0398] them; and thy word [01697] was unto me the joy [08342] and rejoicing [08057] of mine heart [03824]: for I am called [07121] by thy name [08034], O LORD [03068] God [0430] of hosts [06635].
17 I sat [03427] not in the assembly [05475] of the mockers [07832], nor rejoiced [05937]; I sat [03427] alone [0910] because [06440] of thy hand [03027]: for thou hast filled [04390] me with indignation [02195].
18 Why is my pain [03511] perpetual [05331], and my wound [04347] incurable [0605], which refuseth [03985] to be healed [07495]? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar [0391], and as waters [04325] that fail [0539]?
19 Therefore thus saith [0559] the LORD [03068], If thou return [07725], then will I bring thee again [07725], and thou shalt stand [05975] before [06440] me: and if thou take forth [03318] the precious [03368] from the vile [02151], thou shalt be as my mouth [06310]: let them return [07725] unto thee; but return [07725] not thou unto them.
20 And I will make [05414] thee unto this people [05971] a fenced [01219] brasen [05178] wall [02346]: and they shall fight [03898] against thee, but they shall not prevail [03201] against thee: for I am with thee to save [03467] thee and to deliver [05337] thee, saith [05002] the LORD [03068].
21 And I will deliver [05337] thee out of the hand [03027] of the wicked [07451], and I will redeem [06299] thee out of the hand [03709] of the terrible [06184].
7 O LORD [03068], thou hast deceived [06601] me, and I was deceived [06601]: thou art stronger [02388] than I, and hast prevailed [03201]: I am in derision [07814] daily [03117], every one mocketh [03932] me.
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
9 And he made [05414] his grave [06913] with the wicked [07563], and with the rich [06223] in his death [04194]; because he had done [06213] no violence [02555], neither was any deceit [04820] in his mouth [06310].
5 And [2532] ye know [1492] that [3754] he [1565] was manifested [5319] to [2443] take away [142] our [2257] sins [266]; and [2532] in [1722] him [846] is [2076] no [3756] sin [266].
21 For [1063] even [1519] hereunto [5124] were ye called [2564]: because [3754] Christ [5547] also [2532] suffered [3958] for [5228] us [2257], leaving [5277] us [2254] an example [5261], that [2443] ye should follow [1872] his [846] steps [2487]:
22 Who [3739] did [4160] no [3756] sin [266], neither [3761] was guile [1388] found [2147] in [1722] his [846] mouth [4750]:
23 Who [3739], when he was reviled [3058], reviled [486] not [3756] again [486]; when he suffered [3958], he threatened [546] not [3756]; but [1161] committed [3860] himself to him that judgeth [2919] righteously [1346]:
24 Who [3739] his own self [846] bare [399] our [2257] sins [266] in [1722] his own [846] body [4983] on [1909] the tree [3586], that [2443] we [2198], being dead [581] to sins [266], should live [2198] unto righteousness [1343]: by [3739] whose [846] stripes [3468] ye were healed [2390].
25 For [1063] ye were [2258] as [5613] sheep [4263] going astray [4105]; but [235] are [1994] now [3568] returned [1994] unto [1909] the Shepherd [4166] and [2532] Bishop [1985] of your [5216] souls [5590].
19 But [235] with the precious [5093] blood [129] of Christ [5547], as [5613] of a lamb [286] without blemish [299] and [2532] without spot [784]:
21 For [1063] he hath made [4160] him to be sin [266] for [5228] us [2257], who [3588] knew [1097] no [3361] sin [266]; that [2443] we [2249] might be made [1096] the righteousness [1343] of God [2316] in [1722] him [846].
3 For [1063] I delivered [3860] unto you [5213] first of all [1722] [4413] that which [3739] I [3880] also [2532] received [3880], how [3754] that Christ [5547] died [599] for [5228] our [2257] sins [266] according [2596] to the scriptures [1124];
25 Who [3739] was delivered [3860] for [1223] our [2257] offences [3900], and [2532] was raised again [1453] for [1223] our [2257] justification [1347].
12 And [1161] he answered [611] and told [2036] them [846], Elias [2243] verily [3303] cometh [2064] first [4412], and restoreth [600] all things [3956]; and [2532] how [4459] it is written [1125] of [1909] the Son [5207] of man [444], that [2443] he must suffer [3958] many things [4183], and [2532] be set at nought [1847].
16 But [235] they have [5219] not [3756] all [3956] obeyed [5219] the gospel [2098]. For [1063] Esaias [2268] saith [3004], Lord [2962], who [5101] hath believed [4100] our [2257] report [189]?
28 [5037] Was [2258] returning [5290], and [2532] sitting [2521] in [1909] his [846] chariot [716] [2532] read [314] Esaias [2268] the prophet [4396].
29 Then [1161] the Spirit [4151] said [2036] unto Philip [5376], Go near [4334], and [2532] join thyself to [2853] this [5129] chariot [716].
30 And [1161] Philip [5376] ran [4370] thither to him, and heard [191] him [846] read [314] the prophet [4396] Esaias [2268], and [2532] said [2036], Understandest thou [687] [1065] [1097] what [3739] thou readest [314]?
31 And [1161] he said [2036], How [1063] [4459] can I [302] [1410], except [3362] some man [5100] should guide [3594] me [3165]? And [5037] he desired [3870] Philip [5376] that he would come up [305] and sit [2523] with [4862] him [846].
32 [1161] The place [4042] of the scripture [1124] which [3739] he read [314] was [2258] this [3778], He was led [71] as [5613] a sheep [4263] to [1909] the slaughter [4967]; and [2532] like [5613] a lamb [286] dumb [880] before [1726] his [846] shearer [2751], so [3779] opened he [455] not [3756] his [846] mouth [4750]:
33 In [1722] his [846] humiliation [5014] his [846] judgment [2920] was taken away [142]: and [1161] who [5101] shall declare [1334] his [846] generation [1074]? for [3754] his [846] life [2222] is taken [142] from [575] the earth [1093].
34 And [1161] the eunuch [2135] answered [611] Philip [5376], and said [2036], I pray [1189] thee [4675], of [4012] whom [5101] speaketh [3004] the prophet [4396] this [5124]? of [4012] himself [1438], or [2228] of [4012] some [5100] other man [2087]?
35 Then [1161] Philip [5376] opened [455] his [846] mouth [4750], and [2532] began [756] at [575] the same [5026] scripture [1124], and preached [2097] unto him [846] Jesus [2424].
38 That [2443] the saying [3056] of Esaias [2268] the prophet [4396] might be fulfilled [4137], which [3739] he spake [2036], Lord [2962], who [5101] hath believed [4100] our [2257] report [189]? and [2532] to whom [5101] hath the arm [1023] of the Lord [2962] been revealed [601]?
37 For [1063] I say [3004] unto you [5213], that [3754] this [5124] that is written [1125] must [1163] yet [2089] be accomplished [5055] in [1722] me [1698], And [2532] he was reckoned [3049] among [3326] the transgressors [459]: for [2532] [1063] the things concerning [4012] me [1700] have [2192] an end [5056].
28 And [2532] the scripture [1124] was fulfilled [4137], which [3588] saith [3004], And [2532] he was numbered [3049] with [3326] the transgressors [459].
17 That it might [3704] be fulfilled [4137] which was spoken [4483] by [1223] Esaias [2268] the prophet [4396], saying [3004], Himself [846] took [2983] our [2257] infirmities [769], and [2532] bare [941] our sicknesses [3554].
12 For ye shall not go out [03318] with haste [02649], nor go [03212] by flight [04499]: for the LORD [03068] will go [01980] before [06440] you; and the God [0430] of Israel [03478] will be your rereward [0622].
42 The righteous [03477] shall see [07200] it, and rejoice [08055]: and all iniquity [05766] shall stop [07092] her mouth [06310].
16 So the poor [01800] hath hope [08615], and iniquity [05766] stoppeth [07092] her mouth [06310].
16 The nations [01471] shall see [07200] and be confounded [0954] at all their might [01369]: they shall lay [07760] their hand [03027] upon their mouth [06310], their ears [0241] shall be deaf [02790].
9 The princes [08269] refrained [06113] talking [04405], and laid [07760] their hand [03709] on their mouth [06310].
10 The nobles [05057] held [02244] their peace [06963], and their tongue [03956] cleaved [01692] to the roof of their mouth [02441].
25 Then will I sprinkle [02236] clean [02889] water [04325] upon you, and ye shall be clean [02891]: from all your filthiness [02932], and from all your idols [01544], will I cleanse [02891] you.
18 And a clean [02889] person [0376] shall take [03947] hyssop [0231], and dip [02881] it in the water [04325], and sprinkle [05137] it upon the tent [0168], and upon all the vessels [03627], and upon the persons [05315] that were there, and upon him that touched [05060] a bone [06106], or one slain [02491], or one dead [04191], or a grave [06913]:
7 And thus shalt thou do [06213] unto them, to cleanse [02891] them: Sprinkle [05137] water [04325] of purifying [02403] upon them, and let them shave [08593] [05674] all their flesh [01320], and let them wash [03526] their clothes [0899], and so make themselves clean [02891].
22 Let us draw near [4334] with [3326] a true [228] heart [2588] in [1722] full assurance [4136] of faith [4102], having [4472] our hearts [2588] sprinkled [4472] from [575] an evil [4190] conscience [4893], and [2532] our bodies [4983] washed [3068] with pure [2513] water [5204].
19 For [1063] when [5259] Moses [3475] had spoken [2980] every [3956] precept [1785] to all [3956] the people [2992] according [2596] to the law [3551], he took [2983] the blood [129] of calves [3448] and [2532] of goats [5131], with [3326] water [5204], and [2532] scarlet [2847] wool [2053], and [2532] hyssop [5301], and sprinkled [4472] both [5037] the book [975] [846], and [2532] all [3956] the people [2992],
14 And he shall take [03947] of the blood [01818] of the bullock [06499], and sprinkle [05137] it with his finger [0676] upon the mercy seat [03727] eastward [06924]; and before [06440] the mercy seat [03727] shall he sprinkle [05137] of the blood [01818] with his finger [0676] seven [07651] times [06471].
51 And he shall take [03947] the cedar [0730] wood [06086], and the hyssop [0231], and the scarlet [08144] [08438], and the living [02416] bird [06833], and dip [02881] them in the blood [01818] of the slain [07819] bird [06833], and in the running [02416] water [04325], and sprinkle [05137] the house [01004] seven [07651] times [06471]:
25 Then will I sprinkle [02236] clean [02889] water [04325] upon you, and ye shall be clean [02891]: from all your filthiness [02932], and from all your idols [01544], will I cleanse [02891] you.
3 I have trodden [01869] the winepress [06333] alone; and of the people [05971] there was none [0376] with me: for I will tread [01869] them in mine anger [0639], and trample [07429] them in my fury [02534]; and their blood [05332] shall be sprinkled [05137] upon my garments [0899], and I will stain [01351] all my raiment [04403].
33 And he said [0559], Throw her down [08058]. So they threw her down [08058]: and some of her blood [01818] was sprinkled [05137] on the wall [07023], and on the horses [05483]: and he trode her under foot [07429].
21 And it shall be a perpetual [05769] statute [02708] unto them, that he that sprinkleth [05137] the water [04325] of separation [05079] shall wash [03526] his clothes [0899]; and he that toucheth [05060] the water [04325] of separation [05079] shall be unclean [02930] until even [06153].
19 And the clean [02889] person shall sprinkle [05137] upon the unclean [02931] on the third [07992] day [03117], and on the seventh [07637] day [03117]: and on the seventh [07637] day [03117] he shall purify [02398] himself, and wash [03526] his clothes [0899], and bathe [07364] himself in water [04325], and shall be clean [02891] at even [06153].
4 And Eleazar [0499] the priest [03548] shall take [03947] of her blood [01818] with his finger [0676], and sprinkle [05137] of her blood [01818] directly [05227] before [06440] the tabernacle [0168] of the congregation [04150] seven [07651] times [06471]:
7 And thus shalt thou do [06213] unto them, to cleanse [02891] them: Sprinkle [05137] water [04325] of purifying [02403] upon them, and let them shave [08593] [05674] all their flesh [01320], and let them wash [03526] their clothes [0899], and so make themselves clean [02891].
19 And he shall sprinkle [05137] of the blood [01818] upon it with his finger [0676] seven [07651] times [06471], and cleanse [02891] it, and hallow [06942] it from the uncleanness [02932] of the children [01121] of Israel [03478].
15 Then shall he kill [07819] the goat [08163] of the sin offering [02403], that is for the people [05971], and bring [0935] his blood [01818] within [01004] the vail [06532], and do [06213] with that blood [01818] as he did [06213] with the blood [01818] of the bullock [06499], and sprinkle [05137] it upon the mercy seat [03727], and before [06440] the mercy seat [03727]:
51 And he shall take [03947] the cedar [0730] wood [06086], and the hyssop [0231], and the scarlet [08144] [08438], and the living [02416] bird [06833], and dip [02881] them in the blood [01818] of the slain [07819] bird [06833], and in the running [02416] water [04325], and sprinkle [05137] the house [01004] seven [07651] times [06471]:
27 And the priest [03548] shall sprinkle [05137] with his right [03233] finger [0676] some of the oil [08081] that is in his left [08042] hand [03709] seven [07651] times [06471] before [06440] the LORD [03068]:
16 And the priest [03548] shall dip [02881] his right [03233] finger [0676] in the oil [08081] that is in his left [08042] hand [03709], and shall sprinkle [05137] of the oil [08081] with his finger [0676] seven [07651] times [06471] before [06440] the LORD [03068]:
7 And he shall sprinkle [05137] upon him that is to be cleansed [02891] from the leprosy [06883] seven [07651] times [06471], and shall pronounce him clean [02891], and shall let the living [02416] bird [06833] loose [07971] into the open [06440] field [07704].
30 And Moses [04872] took [03947] of the anointing [04888] oil [08081], and of the blood [01818] which was upon the altar [04196], and sprinkled [05137] it upon Aaron [0175], and upon his garments [0899], and upon his sons [01121], and upon his sons [01121]' garments [0899] with him; and sanctified [06942] Aaron [0175], and his garments [0899], and his sons [01121], and his sons [01121]' garments [0899] with him.
11 And he sprinkled [05137] thereof upon the altar [04196] seven [07651] times [06471], and anointed [04886] the altar [04196] and all his vessels [03627], both the laver [03595] and his foot [03653], to sanctify [06942] them.
27 Whatsoever shall touch [05060] the flesh [01320] thereof shall be holy [06942]: and when there is sprinkled [05137] of the blood [01818] thereof upon any garment [0899], thou shalt wash [03526] that whereon it was sprinkled [05137] in the holy [06918] place [04725].
6 And he shall bring [0935] his trespass offering [0817] unto the LORD [03068], a ram [0352] without blemish [08549] out of the flock [06629], with thy estimation [06187], for a trespass offering [0817], unto the priest [03548]:
7 And the priest [03548] shall make an atonement [03722] for him before [06440] the LORD [03068]: and it shall be forgiven [05545] him for any thing [0259] of all that he hath done [06213] in trespassing [0819] therein.
8 And the LORD [03068] spake [01696] unto Moses [04872], saying [0559],
9 Command [06680] Aaron [0175] and his sons [01121], saying [0559], This is the law [08451] of the burnt offering [05930]: It is the burnt offering [05930], because of the burning [04169] upon the altar [04196] all night [03915] unto the morning [01242], and the fire [0784] of the altar [04196] shall be burning [03344] in it.
10 And the priest [03548] shall put [03847] on his linen [0906] garment [04055], and his linen [0906] breeches [04370] shall he put [03847] upon his flesh [01320], and take up [07311] the ashes [01880] which the fire [0784] hath consumed [0398] with the burnt offering [05930] on the altar [04196], and he shall put [07760] them beside [0681] the altar [04196].
11 And he shall put off [06584] his garments [0899], and put on [03847] other [0312] garments [0899], and carry forth [03318] the ashes [01880] without [02351] the camp [04264] unto a clean [02889] place [04725].
12 And the fire [0784] upon the altar [04196] shall be burning [03344] in it; it shall not be put out [03518]: and the priest [03548] shall burn [01197] wood [06086] on it every morning [01242], and lay the burnt offering [05930] in order [06186] upon it; and he shall burn [06999] thereon the fat [02459] of the peace offerings [08002].
13 The fire [0784] shall ever [08548] be burning [03344] upon the altar [04196]; it shall never go out [03518].
14 And this is the law [08451] of the meat offering [04503]: the sons [01121] of Aaron [0175] shall offer [07126] it before [06440] the LORD [03068], before [06440] the altar [04196].
15 And he shall take [07311] of it his handful [07062], of the flour [05560] of the meat offering [04503], and of the oil [08081] thereof, and all the frankincense [03828] which is upon the meat offering [04503], and shall burn [06999] it upon the altar [04196] for a sweet [05207] savour [07381], even the memorial [0234] of it, unto the LORD [03068].
16 And the remainder [03498] thereof shall Aaron [0175] and his sons [01121] eat [0398]: with unleavened bread [04682] shall it be eaten [0398] in the holy [06918] place [04725]; in the court [02691] of the tabernacle [0168] of the congregation [04150] they shall eat [0398] it.
17 It shall not be baken [0644] with leaven [02557]. I have given [05414] it unto them for their portion [02506] of my offerings made by fire [0801]; it is most [06944] holy [06944], as is the sin offering [02403], and as the trespass offering [0817].
9 And he shall sprinkle [05137] of the blood [01818] of the sin offering [02403] upon the side [07023] of the altar [04196]; and the rest [07604] of the blood [01818] shall be wrung out [04680] at the bottom [03247] of the altar [04196]: it is a sin offering [02403].
21 And thou shalt take [03947] of the blood [01818] that is upon the altar [04196], and of the anointing [04888] oil [08081], and sprinkle [05137] it upon Aaron [0175], and upon his garments [0899], and upon his sons [01121], and upon the garments [0899] of his sons [01121] with him: and he shall be hallowed [06942], and his garments [0899], and his sons [01121], and his sons [01121]' garments [0899] with him.
5 My righteousness [06664] is near [07138]; my salvation [03468] is gone forth [03318], and mine arms [02220] shall judge [08199] the people [05971]; the isles [0339] shall wait [06960] upon me, and on mine arm [02220] shall they trust [03176].
6 And he said [0559], It is a light thing [07043] that thou shouldest be my servant [05650] to raise up [06965] the tribes [07626] of Jacob [03290], and to restore [07725] the preserved [05341] [05336] of Israel [03478]: I will also give [05414] thee for a light [0216] to the Gentiles [01471], that thou mayest be my salvation [03444] unto the end [07097] of the earth [0776].
7 Thus saith [0559] the LORD [03068], the Redeemer [01350] of Israel [03478], and his Holy One [06918], to him whom man [05315] despiseth [0960], to him whom the nation [01471] abhorreth [08581], to a servant [05650] of rulers [04910], Kings [04428] shall see [07200] and arise [06965], princes [08269] also shall worship [07812], because of the LORD [03068] that is faithful [0539], and the Holy One [06918] of Israel [03478], and he shall choose [0977] thee.
4 For [1063] it is not possible [102] that the blood [129] of bulls [5022] and [2532] of goats [5131] should take away [851] sins [266].
22 And [2532] almost [4975] all things [3956] are [2511] by [2596] the law [3551] purged [2511] with [1722] blood [129]; and [2532] without [5565] shedding of blood [130] is [1096] no [3756] remission [859].
18 [1161] Whereupon [1722] [3739] certain [5100] Jews [2453] from [575] Asia [773] found [2147] me [3165] purified [48] in [1722] the temple [2411], neither [3756] with [3326] multitude [3793], nor [3761] with [3326] tumult [2351].
9 But [1161] the voice [5456] answered [611] me [3427] again [1537] [1208] from [1537] heaven [3772], What [3739] God [2316] hath cleansed [2511], that call [2840] not [3361] thou [4771] common [2840].
17 Whose [3739] fan [4425] is in [1722] his [846] hand [5495], and [2532] he will throughly purge [1245] his [846] floor [257], and [2532] will gather [4863] the wheat [4621] into [1519] his [846] garner [596]; but [1161] the chaff [892] he will burn [2618] with fire [4442] unquenchable [762].
15 So shall he sprinkle [05137] many [07227] nations [01471]; the kings [04428] shall shut [07092] their mouths [06310] at him: for that which had not been told [05608] them shall they see [07200]; and that which they had not heard [08085] shall they consider [0995].
5 Wherefore [1352] when he cometh [1525] into [1519] the world [2889], he saith [3004], Sacrifice [2378] and [2532] offering [4376] thou wouldest [2309] not [3756], but [1161] a body [4983] hast thou prepared [2675] me [3427]:
14 And he said [0559] unto her, What form [08389] is he of? And she said [0559], An old [02205] man [0376] cometh up [05927]; and he is covered [05844] with a mantle [04598]. And Saul [07586] perceived [03045] that it was Samuel [08050], and he stooped [06915] with his face [0639] to the ground [0776], and bowed [07812] himself.
18 Then there came again [03254] and touched [05060] me one like the appearance [04758] of a man [0120], and he strengthened [02388] me,
16 The appearance [04758] of the wheels [0212] and their work [04639] was like unto the colour [05869] of a beryl [08658]: and they four [0702] had one [0259] likeness [01823]: and their appearance [04758] and their work [04639] was as it were a wheel [0212] in the middle [08432] of a wheel [0212].
17 When they went [03212], they went [03212] upon their four [0702] sides [07253]: and they turned [05437] not when they went [03212].
18 As for their rings [01354], they were so high [01363] that they were dreadful [03374]; and their rings [01354] were full [04392] of eyes [05869] round about [05439] them four [0702].
19 And when the living creatures [02416] went [03212], the wheels [0212] went [03212] by them [0681]: and when the living creatures [02416] were lifted up [05375] from the earth [0776], the wheels [0212] were lifted up [05375].
20 Whithersoever the spirit [07307] was to go [03212], they went [03212], thither was their spirit [07307] to go [03212]; and the wheels [0212] were lifted up [05375] over against [05980] them: for the spirit [07307] of the living creature [02416] was in the wheels [0212].
21 When those went [03212], these went [03212]; and when those stood [05975], these stood [05975]; and when those were lifted up [05375] from the earth [0776], the wheels [0212] were lifted up [05375] over against [05980] them: for the spirit [07307] of the living creature [02416] was in the wheels [0212].
22 And the likeness [01823] of the firmament [07549] upon the heads [07218] of the living creature [02416] was as the colour [05869] of the terrible [03372] crystal [07140], stretched forth [05186] over their heads [07218] above [04605].
23 And under the firmament [07549] were their wings [03671] straight [03477], the one [0802] toward the other [0269]: every one [0376] had two [08147], which covered [03680] on this side [02007], and every one [0376] had two [08147], which covered [03680] on that side [02007], their bodies [01472].
24 And when they went [03212], I heard [08085] the noise [06963] of their wings [03671], like the noise [06963] of great [07227] waters [04325], as the voice [06963] of the Almighty [07706], the voice [06963] of speech [01999], as the noise [06963] of an host [04264]: when they stood [05975], they let down [07503] their wings [03671].
25 And there was a voice [06963] from the firmament [07549] that was over their heads [07218], when they stood [05975], and had let down [07503] their wings [03671].
26 And above [04605] the firmament [07549] that was over their heads [07218] was the likeness [01823] of a throne [03678], as the appearance [04758] of a sapphire [05601] stone [068]: and upon the likeness [01823] of the throne [03678] was the likeness [01823] as the appearance [04758] of a man [0120] above [04605] upon it.
27 And I saw [07200] as the colour [05869] of amber [02830], as the appearance [04758] of fire [0784] round about [05439] within [01004] it, from the appearance [04758] of his loins [04975] even upward [04605], and from the appearance [04758] of his loins [04975] even downward [04295], I saw [07200] as it were the appearance [04758] of fire [0784], and it had brightness [05051] round about [05439].
28 As the appearance [04758] of the bow [07198] that is in the cloud [06051] in the day [03117] of rain [01653], so was the appearance [04758] of the brightness [05051] round about [05439]. This was the appearance [04758] of the likeness [01823] of the glory [03519] of the LORD [03068]. And when I saw [07200] it, I fell [05307] upon my face [06440], and I heard [08085] a voice [06963] of one that spake [01696].
17 And the sight [04758] of the glory [03519] of the LORD [03068] was like devouring [0398] fire [0784] on the top [07218] of the mount [02022] in the eyes [05869] of the children [01121] of Israel [03478].
15 So shall he sprinkle [05137] many [07227] nations [01471]; the kings [04428] shall shut [07092] their mouths [06310] at him: for that which had not been told [05608] them shall they see [07200]; and that which they had not heard [08085] shall they consider [0995].
8 And I will make [07760] this city [05892] desolate [08047], and an hissing [08322]; every one that passeth [05674] thereby shall be astonished [08074] and hiss [08319] because of all the plagues [04347] thereof.
16 To make [07760] their land [0776] desolate [08047], and a perpetual [05769] hissing [08292] [08292]; every one that passeth [05674] thereby shall be astonished [08074], and wag [05110] his head [07218].
13 Behold, my servant [05650] shall deal prudently [07919], he shall be exalted [07311] and extolled [05375], and be very [03966] high [01361].
14 As many [07227] were astonied [08074] at thee; his visage [04758] was so marred [04893] more than any man [0376], and his form [08389] more than the sons [01121] of men [0120]:
22 And [2532] hath put [5293] all [3956] things under [5259] his [846] feet [4228], and [2532] gave [1325] him [846] to be the head [2776] over [5228] all [3956] things to the church [1577],
22 Who [3739] is gone [4198] into [1519] heaven [3772], and is [2076] on [1722] the right hand [1188] of God [2316]; angels [32] and [2532] authorities [1849] and [2532] powers [1411] being made subject [5293] unto him [846].
8 A gift [07810] is as a precious [02580] stone [068] in the eyes [05869] of him that hath [01167] it: whithersoever it turneth [06437], it prospereth [07919].
21 For the pastors [07462] are become brutish [01197], and have not sought [01875] the LORD [03068]: therefore they shall not prosper [07919], and all their flocks [04830] shall be scattered [06327].
7 And the LORD [03068] was with him; and he prospered [07919] whithersoever he went forth [03318]: and he rebelled [04775] against the king [04428] of Assyria [0804], and served [05647] him not.
7 Only be thou strong [02388] and very [03966] courageous [0553], that thou mayest observe [08104] to do [06213] according to all the law [08451], which Moses [04872] my servant [05650] commanded [06680] thee: turn [05493] not from it to the right hand [03225] or to the left [08040], that thou mayest prosper [07919] whithersoever thou goest [03212].
8 This book [05612] of the law [08451] shall not depart [04185] out of thy mouth [06310]; but thou shalt meditate [01897] therein day [03119] and night [03915], that thou mayest observe [08104] to do [06213] according to all that is written [03789] therein: for then thou shalt make [06743] thy way [01870] prosperous [06743], and then thou shalt have good success [07919].
5 And now, saith [0559] the LORD [03068] that formed [03335] me from the womb [0990] to be his servant [05650], to bring [07725] Jacob [03290] again [07725] to him, Though Israel [03478] be not gathered [0622], yet shall I be glorious [03513] in the eyes [05869] of the LORD [03068], and my God [0430] shall be my strength [05797].
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
13 Behold, my servant [05650] shall deal prudently [07919], he shall be exalted [07311] and extolled [05375], and be very [03966] high [01361].
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
9 And he made [05414] his grave [06913] with the wicked [07563], and with the rich [06223] in his death [04194]; because he had done [06213] no violence [02555], neither was any deceit [04820] in his mouth [06310].
4 Surely [0403] he hath borne [05375] our griefs [02483], and carried [05445] our sorrows [04341]: yet we did esteem [02803] him stricken [05060], smitten [05221] of God [0430], and afflicted [06031].
1 Who hath believed [0539] our report [08052]? and to whom is the arm [02220] of the LORD [03068] revealed [01540]?
13 Behold, my servant [05650] shall deal prudently [07919], he shall be exalted [07311] and extolled [05375], and be very [03966] high [01361].
14 As many [07227] were astonied [08074] at thee; his visage [04758] was so marred [04893] more than any man [0376], and his form [08389] more than the sons [01121] of men [0120]:
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
15 So shall he sprinkle [05137] many [07227] nations [01471]; the kings [04428] shall shut [07092] their mouths [06310] at him: for that which had not been told [05608] them shall they see [07200]; and that which they had not heard [08085] shall they consider [0995].
14 As many [07227] were astonied [08074] at thee; his visage [04758] was so marred [04893] more than any man [0376], and his form [08389] more than the sons [01121] of men [0120]:
13 Behold, my servant [05650] shall deal prudently [07919], he shall be exalted [07311] and extolled [05375], and be very [03966] high [01361].
15 So shall he sprinkle [05137] many [07227] nations [01471]; the kings [04428] shall shut [07092] their mouths [06310] at him: for that which had not been told [05608] them shall they see [07200]; and that which they had not heard [08085] shall they consider [0995].
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
3 For [1063] I delivered [3860] unto you [5213] first of all [1722] [4413] that which [3739] I [3880] also [2532] received [3880], how [3754] that Christ [5547] died [599] for [5228] our [2257] sins [266] according [2596] to the scriptures [1124];
25 Who [3739] was delivered [3860] for [1223] our [2257] offences [3900], and [2532] was raised again [1453] for [1223] our [2257] justification [1347].
5 Jesus [2424] answered [611], Verily [281], verily [281], I say [3004] unto thee [4671], Except [3362] a man [5100] be born [1080] of [1537] water [5204] and [2532] of the Spirit [4151], he cannot [3756] [1410] enter [1525] into [1519] the kingdom [932] of God [2316].
4 Surely [0403] he hath borne [05375] our griefs [02483], and carried [05445] our sorrows [04341]: yet we did esteem [02803] him stricken [05060], smitten [05221] of God [0430], and afflicted [06031].
17 That it might [3704] be fulfilled [4137] which was spoken [4483] by [1223] Esaias [2268] the prophet [4396], saying [3004], Himself [846] took [2983] our [2257] infirmities [769], and [2532] bare [941] our sicknesses [3554].
35 Then [1161] Philip [5376] opened [455] his [846] mouth [4750], and [2532] began [756] at [575] the same [5026] scripture [1124], and preached [2097] unto him [846] Jesus [2424].
28 And [2532] the scripture [1124] was fulfilled [4137], which [3588] saith [3004], And [2532] he was numbered [3049] with [3326] the transgressors [459].
12 For ye shall not go out [03318] with haste [02649], nor go [03212] by flight [04499]: for the LORD [03068] will go [01980] before [06440] you; and the God [0430] of Israel [03478] will be your rereward [0622].
16 But [235] they have [5219] not [3756] all [3956] obeyed [5219] the gospel [2098]. For [1063] Esaias [2268] saith [3004], Lord [2962], who [5101] hath believed [4100] our [2257] report [189]?
1 Who hath believed [0539] our report [08052]? and to whom is the arm [02220] of the LORD [03068] revealed [01540]?
37 But [1161] though he [846] had done [4160] so many [5118] miracles [4592] before [1715] them [846], yet they believed [4100] not [3756] on [1519] him [846]:
38 That [2443] the saying [3056] of Esaias [2268] the prophet [4396] might be fulfilled [4137], which [3739] he spake [2036], Lord [2962], who [5101] hath believed [4100] our [2257] report [189]? and [2532] to whom [5101] hath the arm [1023] of the Lord [2962] been revealed [601]?
3 He is despised [0959] and rejected [02310] of men [0376]; a man [0376] of sorrows [04341], and acquainted [03045] with grief [02483]: and we hid as it were [04564] our faces [06440] from him; he was despised [0959], and we esteemed [02803] him not.
13 Behold, my servant [05650] shall deal prudently [07919], he shall be exalted [07311] and extolled [05375], and be very [03966] high [01361].
27 And [2532] he arose [450] and went [4198]: and [2532], behold [2400], a man [435] of Ethiopia [128], an eunuch [2135] of great authority [1413] under Candace [2582] queen [938] of the Ethiopians [128], who [3739] had [2258] the charge of [1909] all [3956] her [846] treasure [1047], and [3739] had come [2064] to [1519] Jerusalem [2419] for to worship [4352],
28 [5037] Was [2258] returning [5290], and [2532] sitting [2521] in [1909] his [846] chariot [716] [2532] read [314] Esaias [2268] the prophet [4396].
36 And [1161] as [5613] they went [4198] on [2596] their way [3598], they came [2064] unto [1909] a certain [5100] water [5204]: and [2532] the eunuch [2135] said [5346], See [2400], here is water [5204]; what [5101] doth hinder [2967] me [3165] to be baptized [907]?
37 And [1161] Philip [5376] said [2036], If [1487] thou believest [4100] with [1537] all thine [3650] heart [2588], thou mayest [1832]. And [1161] he answered [611] and said [2036], I believe [4100] that Jesus [2424] Christ [5547] is [1511] the Son [5207] of God [2316].
38 And [2532] he commanded [2753] the chariot [716] to stand still [2476]: and [2532] they went down [2597] both [297] into [1519] the water [5204], both [5037] Philip [5376] and [2532] the eunuch [2135]; and [2532] he baptized [907] him [846].
39 And [1161] when [3753] they were come up [305] out of [1537] the water [5204], the Spirit [4151] of the Lord [2962] caught away [726] Philip [5376], [2532] that the eunuch [2135] saw [1492] [3756] him [846] no more [3765]: and [1063] he went [4198] on his [846] way [3598] rejoicing [5463].
40 But [1161] Philip [5376] was found [2147] at [1519] Azotus [108]: and [2532] passing [1330] through he preached [2097] in all [3956] the cities [4172], till [2193] he [846] came [2064] to [1519] Caesarea [2542].
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
3 And God [0430] said [0559], Let there be [01961] light [0216]: and there was light [0216].
13 Behold, my servant [05650] shall deal prudently [07919], he shall be exalted [07311] and extolled [05375], and be very [03966] high [01361].
17 That it might [3704] be fulfilled [4137] which was spoken [4483] by [1223] Esaias [2268] the prophet [4396], saying [3004], Himself [846] took [2983] our [2257] infirmities [769], and [2532] bare [941] our sicknesses [3554].
11 He shall see [07200] of the travail [05999] of his soul [05315], and shall be satisfied [07646]: by his knowledge [01847] shall my righteous [06662] servant [05650] justify [06663] many [07227]; for he shall bear [05445] their iniquities [05771].
22 And [2532] hath put [5293] all [3956] things under [5259] his [846] feet [4228], and [2532] gave [1325] him [846] to be the head [2776] over [5228] all [3956] things to the church [1577],
23 Which [3748] is [2076] his [846] body [4983], the fulness [4138] of him that filleth [4137] all [3956] in [1722] all [3956].
33 Therefore [3767] being [5312] by the right hand [1188] of God [2316] exalted [5312], and [5037] having received [2983] of [3844] the Father [3962] the promise [1860] of the Holy [40] Ghost [4151], he hath shed forth [1632] this [5124], which [3739] ye [5210] now [3568] see [991] and [2532] hear [191].
9 Wherefore [1352] God [2316] also [2532] hath highly exalted [5251] him [846], and [2532] given [5483] him [846] a name [3686] which [3588] is above [5228] every [3956] name [3686]:
11 By the blessing [01293] of the upright [03477] the city [07176] is exalted [07311]: but it is overthrown [02040] by the mouth [06310] of the wicked [07563].
13 Behold, my servant [05650] shall deal prudently [07919], he shall be exalted [07311] and extolled [05375], and be very [03966] high [01361].
2 Therefore thus saith [0559] the LORD [03068] God [0430] of Israel [03478] against the pastors [07462] that feed [07462] my people [05971]; Ye have scattered [06327] my flock [06629], and driven them away [05080], and have not visited [06485] them: behold, I will visit [06485] upon you the evil [07455] of your doings [04611], saith [05002] the LORD [03068].
21 For the pastors [07462] are become brutish [01197], and have not sought [01875] the LORD [03068]: therefore they shall not prosper [07919], and all their flocks [04830] shall be scattered [06327].
1 Behold my servant [05650], whom I uphold [08551]; mine elect [0972], in whom my soul [05315] delighteth [07521]; I have put [05414] my spirit [07307] upon him: he shall bring forth [03318] judgment [04941] to the Gentiles [01471].
1 Listen [08085], O isles [0339], unto me; and hearken [07181], ye people [03816], from far [07350]; The LORD [03068] hath called [07121] me from the womb [0990]; from the bowels [04578] of my mother [0517] hath he made mention [02142] of my name [08034].
6 I gave [05414] my back [01460] to the smiters [05221], and my cheeks [03895] to them that plucked off [04803] the hair: I hid [05641] not my face [06440] from shame [03639] and spitting [07536].
5 The Lord [0136] GOD [03069] hath opened [06605] mine ear [0241], and I was not rebellious [04784], neither turned away [05472] back [0268].
14 And shall say [0559], Cast ye up [05549], cast ye up [05549], prepare [06437] the way [01870], take up [07311] the stumblingblock [04383] out of the way [01870] of my people [05971].
12 For ye shall go out [03318] with joy [08057], and be led forth [02986] with peace [07965]: the mountains [02022] and the hills [01389] shall break forth [06476] before [06440] you into singing [07440], and all the trees [06086] of the field [07704] shall clap [04222] their hands [03709].
