8 Now therefore give pledges [06148], I pray thee, to my master [0113] the king [04428] of Assyria [0804], and I will give [05414] thee two thousand [0505] horses [05483], if thou be able [03201] on thy part to set [05414] riders [07392] upon them.
6 And Elam [05867] bare [05375] the quiver [0827] with chariots [07393] of men [0120] and horsemen [06571], and Kir [07024] uncovered [06168] the shield [04043].
7 And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest [04005] valleys [06010] shall be full [04390] of chariots [07393], and the horsemen [06571] shall set [07896] themselves in array [07896] at the gate [08179].
19 Hast thou given [05414] the horse [05483] strength [01369]? hast thou clothed [03847] his neck [06677] with thunder [07483]?
20 Canst thou make him afraid [07493] as a grasshopper [0697]? the glory [01935] of his nostrils [05170] is terrible [0367].
21 He paweth [02658] in the valley [06010], and rejoiceth [07797] in his strength [03581]: he goeth on [03318] to meet [07125] the armed men [05402].
22 He mocketh [07832] at fear [06343], and is not affrighted [02865]; neither turneth he back [07725] from [06440] the sword [02719].
23 The quiver [0827] rattleth [07439] against him, the glittering [03851] spear [02595] and the shield [03591].
24 He swalloweth [01572] the ground [0776] with fierceness [07494] and rage [07267]: neither believeth [0539] he that it is the sound [06963] of the trumpet [07782].
25 He saith [0559] among [01767] the trumpets [07782], Ha [01889], ha [01889]; and he smelleth [07306] the battle [04421] afar off [07350], the thunder [07482] of the captains [08269], and the shouting [08643].
5 O house [01004] of Jacob [03290], come [03212] ye, and let us walk [03212] in the light [0216] of the LORD [03068].
13 Behold, he shall come up [05927] as clouds [06051], and his chariots [04818] shall be as a whirlwind [05492]: his horses [05483] are swifter [07043] than eagles [05404]. Woe [0188] unto us! for we are spoiled [07703].
15 For, behold, the LORD [03068] will come [0935] with fire [0784], and with his chariots [04818] like a whirlwind [05492], to render [07725] his anger [0639] with fury [02534], and his rebuke [01606] with flames [03851] of fire [0784].
15 Their sword [02719] shall enter [0935] into their own heart [03820], and their bows [07198] shall be broken [07665].
6 And Elam [05867] bare [05375] the quiver [0827] with chariots [07393] of men [0120] and horsemen [06571], and Kir [07024] uncovered [06168] the shield [04043].
12 Shall horses [05483] run [07323] upon the rock [05553]? will one plow [02790] there with oxen [01241]? for ye have turned [02015] judgment [04941] into gall [07219], and the fruit [06529] of righteousness [06666] into hemlock [03939]:
