Job 38:39 Amplified Bible© Can you [Job] hunt the prey for the lion? Or satisfy the appetite of the young lions
  King James Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,

At Job 38:39-39:30, the instincts of animals. Is it thou that givest it the instinct to hunt its prey? (Psa 104:21).

appetite--literally, "life," which depends on the appetite" (Job 33:20).

20 So that his desire makes him loathe food, and even dainty dishes [nauseate him].
21 The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.
24 Observe and consider the ravens; for they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn; and [yet] God feeds them. Of how much more worth are you than the birds!
3 If the foundations are destroyed, what can the [unyieldingly] righteous do, or what has He [the Righteous One] wrought or accomplished?
9 He gives to the beast his food, and to the young ravens that for which they cry.
38 He has left His shelter like the lion; for their land has become a waste and an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppressor and because of [the Lord's] fierce anger.
9 He lurks in secret places like a lion in his thicket; he lies in wait that he may seize the poor (the helpless and the unfortunate); he seizes the poor when he draws him into his net.
8 Then the beasts go into dens and remain in their lairs.
22 When the sun arises, they withdraw themselves and lie down in their dens.
40 When they couch in their dens or lie in wait in their hiding place?
10 [The prey] is crushed, sinks down; and the helpless falls by his mighty [claws].

30 Men do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry;
20 So that his desire makes him loathe food, and even dainty dishes [nauseate him].
10 The roaring of the lion and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions are broken.
