Ec 12:7 New American Standard Bible© then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
  King James Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

dust--the dust-formed body.

spirit--surviving the body; implying its immortality (Ecc 3:11).

11 He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
