Job 37:18 New American Standard Bible© "Can you, with Him, spread out the skies, Strong as a molten mirror?
  King James Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?

strong pieces--firm; whence the term "firmament" ("expansion," Gen 1:6, Margin; Isa 44:24).

24 Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, "I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth all alone,
6 Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."

22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
