the reproach of Christ--that is, the reproach which falls on the Church, and which Christ regards as His own reproach, He being the Head, and the Church (both of the Old and New Testament) His body. Israel typified Christ; Israel's sufferings were Christ's sufferings (compare Co2 1:5; Col 1:24). 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.
15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
