Pr 23:22 King James Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.

despise . . . old--Adults revere the parents whom, as children, they once obeyed.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
21 He that begetteth a fool doeth it to his sorrow: and the father of a fool hath no joy.
