Eze 16:44 Strong Concordance Behold, every one that useth proverbs [04911] shall use this proverb [04911] against thee, saying [0559], As is the mother [0517], so is her daughter [01323].
  King James Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

As . . . mother . . . her daughter--"Is," and "so is," are not in the original; the ellipsis gives the proverb (but two words in the Hebrew) epigrammatic brevity. Jerusalem proved herself a true daughter of the Hittite mother in sin (Eze 16:3).
