Now because we have maintenance from the king's palace, and it was not meet for us to see [02370] the king's dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king;

The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen [02370], and the interpretation thereof?

Thou, O king, sawest [02370], and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.

Thou sawest [02370] till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

And whereas thou sawest [02370] the feet and toes, part of potters ' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest [02370] the iron mixed with miry clay.

And whereas thou sawest [02370] iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men : but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Forasmuch as thou sawest [02370] that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter : and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego : therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont [02370] to be heated.

He answered and said, Lo, I see [02370] four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace : and the king saw [02370] the part of the hand that wrote.

But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see [02370] not, nor hear, nor know : and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified :

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had [02370] a dream and visions of his head upon his bed : then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.

Daniel spake and said, I saw [02370] in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.

The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings : I beheld [02370] till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

After this I beheld [02370], and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

After this I saw [02370] in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth : it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

I beheld [02370] till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool : his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

I beheld [02370] then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake : I beheld [02370] even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
