Ezr 4:8 C D T R K Rehum the chancellor and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against [05922] Jerusalem to Artaxerxes the king in this sort :
Ezr 4:11 C D T This is the copy of the letter that they sent unto him [05922], even unto Artaxerxes the king; Thy servants the men on this side the river, and at such a time.
Ezr 4:12 C D T R K Be it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us [05922] are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations.
Ezr 4:14 C D T R K Now because we have maintenance from the king's palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king's dishonour, therefore [05922] have we sent and certified the king;
Ezr 4:15 C D T R K That search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers : so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time : for [05922] which cause was this city destroyed.
Ezr 4:17 C D T R Then sent the king an answer unto [05922] Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time.
Ezr 4:18 C D T K The letter which ye sent unto us [05922] hath been plainly read before me.
Ezr 4:19 C D T R K And I commanded, and search hath been made, and it is found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against [05922] kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein.
Ezr 4:20 C D T R K There have been mighty kings also over [05922] Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them.
Ezr 4:22 C D T R Take heed now that ye fail not to do [05922] this : why should damage grow to the hurt of the kings?
Ezr 4:23 C D T R Now when the copy of king Artaxerxes ' letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto [05922] the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power.
Ezr 5:1 C D T R K Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto [05922] the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even unto [05922] them.
Ezr 5:3 C D T R K At the same time came to them Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shetharboznai, and their companions, and said thus unto them [05922], Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?
Ezr 5:5 C D T R K But the eye of their God was upon [05922] the elders of the Jews, that they could not cause them to cease, till the matter came to Darius : and then they returned answer by letter concerning [05922] this matter.
Ezr 5:6 C D T R K The copy of the letter that Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shetharboznai, and his companions the Apharsachites, which were on this side the river, sent unto [05922] Darius the king :
Ezr 5:7 C D T R They sent a letter unto [05922] him, wherein was written thus; Unto Darius the king, all peace.
Ezr 5:15 C D T R And said unto him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be builded in [05922] his place.
Ezr 5:17 C D T R K Now therefore, if it seem good to [05922] the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning [05922] this matter.
Ezr 6:7 C D T R Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in [05922] his place.
Ezr 6:11 C D T R K Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon [05922]; and let his house be made a dunghill for [05922] this.
Ezr 6:17 C D T R K And offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for [05922] all Israel, twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
Ezr 6:18 C D T R K And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for [05922] the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.
Ezr 7:14 C D T R K Forasmuch as thou art sent of the king, and of his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning [05922] Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thine hand;
Ezr 7:17 C D T R That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon [05922] the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
Ezr 7:18 C D T R And whatsoever shall seem good to thee, and to [05922] thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, that do after the will of your God.
Ezr 7:23 C D T R K Whatsoever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven : for why should there be wrath against [05922] the realm of the king and his sons?
Ezr 7:24 C D T R K Also we certify you, that touching any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon [05922] them.
Da 2:10 C D T K The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man upon [05922] the earth that can shew the king's matter : therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.
Da 2:15 C D T K He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why [05922] is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.
Da 2:18 C D T R K That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning [05922] this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
Da 2:24 C D T R K Therefore Daniel went in unto [05922] Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon : he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon : bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.
Da 2:28 C D T R K But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon [05922] thy bed, are these;
Da 2:29 C D T R K As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon [05922] thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter : and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.
Da 2:30 C D T R K But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that [05922] shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.
Da 2:34 C D T R K Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon [05922] his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
Da 2:46 C D T R K Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon [05922] his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.
Da 2:48 C D T R K Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over [05922] the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over [05922] all the wise men of Babylon.
Da 2:49 C D T R K Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over [05922] the affairs of the province of Babylon : but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.
Da 3:12 C D T R K There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over [05922] the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee [05922]: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Da 3:16 C D T K Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in [05922] this matter.
Da 3:19 C D T R K Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against [05922] Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego : therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more [05922] than it was wont to be heated.
Da 3:28 C D T R K Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him [05922], and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
Da 3:29 C D T R K Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against [05922] the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill : because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
Da 4:5 C D T R K I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon [05922] my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.
Da 4:8 C D T R K But at the last Daniel came in [05922] before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods : and before him I told the dream, saying,
Da 4:10 C D T R K Thus were the visions of mine head in [05922] my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.
Da 4:13 C D T R K I saw in the visions of my head upon [05922] my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;
Da 4:16 C D T R K Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over [05922] him.
Da 4:17 C D T R K This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones : to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over [05922] it the basest of men.
Da 4:23 C D T R K And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over [05922] him;
Da 4:24 C D T R K This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon [05922] my lord the king :
Da 4:25 C D T R K That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over [05922] thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
Da 4:27 C D T R K Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee [05922], and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
Da 4:28 C D T R K All this came upon [05922] the king Nebuchadnezzar.
Da 4:29 C D T R K At the end of twelve months he walked in [05922] the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.
Da 4:32 C D T R K And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field : they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over [05922] thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
Da 4:33 C D T R K The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon [05922] Nebuchadnezzar : and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles ' feathers, and his nails like birds ' claws.
Da 4:34 C D T R K And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me [05922], and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation :
Da 4:36 C D T R K At the same time my reason returned unto me [05922]; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me [05922]; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me [05922]; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
Da 5:5 C D T R K In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon [05922] the plaister of the wall of the king's palace : and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
Da 5:7 C D T R K The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about [05922] his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.
Da 5:9 C D T R K Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him [05922], and his lords were astonied.
Da 5:14 C D T R K I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee [05922], and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.
Da 5:16 C D T R K And I have heard of thee [05922], that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts : now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about [05922] thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.
Da 5:21 C D T R K And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses : they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over [05922] it whomsoever he will.
Da 5:23 C D T R K But hast lifted up thyself against [05922] the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know : and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified :
Da 5:29 C D T R K Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about [05922] his neck, and made a proclamation concerning [05922] him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
Da 6:1 C D T R K It pleased Darius to set over [05922] the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
Da 6:3 C D T R K Then this Daniel was preferred above [05922] the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over [05922] the whole realm.
Da 6:4 C D T R K Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him [05922].
Da 6:5 C D T R K Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against [05922] this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
Da 6:6 C D T R K Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him [05922], King Darius, live for ever.
Da 6:10 C D T R K Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon [05922] his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Da 6:12 C D T R K Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning [05922] the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
Da 6:13 C D T R K Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee [05922], O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.
Da 6:14 C D T R K Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on [05922] Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
Da 6:15 C D T R K Then these men assembled unto [05922] the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
Da 6:17 C D T R K And a stone was brought, and laid upon [05922] the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
Da 6:18 C D T R K Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting : neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him [05922].
Da 6:23 C D T R K Then was the king exceeding glad for him [05922], and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
Da 7:1 C D T R K In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon [05922] his bed : then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
Da 7:4 C D T R K The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings : I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon [05922] the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
Da 7:6 C D T R K After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon [05922] the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.
Da 7:16 C D T R K I came near unto [05922] one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
Da 7:19 C D T R K Then I would know the truth of [05922] the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
Da 7:20 C D T R K And of [05922] the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
Da 7:28 C D T R K Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me [05922]: but I kept the matter in my heart.
