We certify the king that, if this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have [0383] no portion on this side the river.

Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king's treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be [0383] so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.

The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is [0383] not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter : therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.

There are [0383] certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee : they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye [0383] serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

Now if ye be [0383] ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

If it be so, our God whom we serve is [0383] able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
