Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not [03809] pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings.

Now because we have maintenance from the king's palace, and it was not [03809] meet for us to see the king's dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king;

And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first : that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no [03809] damage.

Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not [03809] thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no [03809] manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel : for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not [03809] be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
