Eze 18:25 | Strong Concordance | Yet ye say [0559], The way [01870] of the Lord [0136] is not equal [08505]. Hear [08085] now, O house [01004] of Israel [03478]; Is not my way [01870] equal [08505]? are not your ways [01870] unequal [08505]? |
King James | Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? |
A Commentary, Critical, Practical, and Explanatory on the Old and New Testaments, by Robert Jamieson, A.R. Fausset and David Brown [1882] |
Their plea for saying, "The way of the Lord is not equal," was that God treated different classes in a different way. But it was really their way that was unequal, since living in sin they expected to be dealt with as if they were righteous. God's way was invariably to deal with different men according to their deserts. |
