| Jonathan had a son - This history is inserted as that which encouraged these men to this wicked murder, because Saul's family was now reduced to a low ebb; and if Isbosheth was dispatched, there would be none left, but a lame child, who was altogether unfit to manage the kingdom, and therefore the crown must necessarily come to David by their act and deed; for which they promised themselves no small recompense. 12 And Mephibosheth [04648] had a young [06996] son [01121], whose name [08034] was Micha [04316]. And all that dwelt [04186] in the house [01004] of Ziba [06717] were servants [05650] unto Mephibosheth [04648].
13 So Mephibosheth [04648] dwelt [03427] in Jerusalem [03389]: for he did eat [0398] continually [08548] at the king's [04428] table [07979]; and was lame [06455] on both [08147] his feet [07272].
