Ge 1:8 New American Standard Bible© God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
  King James And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

That is, the expanse above, the "heaven" of the clouds. (Gen 7:11); (Gen 8:2).
