this is the promise--Eternal life shall be the permanent consummation of thus abiding in the Son and in the Father (Jo1 2:24).

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
