JESUS APPEARS TO THE ASSEMBLED DISCIPLES. (Joh 20:19-23)

the same day at evening, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus--plainly not by the ordinary way of entrance.

and saith unto them Peace be unto you--not the mere wish that even His own exalted peace might be theirs (Joh 14:27), but conveying it into their hearts, even as He "opened their understandings to understand the scriptures" (Luk 24:45).

36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:
