Da 4:35 King James And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

all . . . as nothing-- (Isa 40:15, Isa 40:17).

according to his will in . . . heaven-- (Psa 115:3; Psa 135:6; Mat 6:10; Eph 1:11).

army--the heavenly hosts, angels and starry orbs (compare Isa 24:21).

none . . . stay his hand--literally, "strike His hand." Image from striking the hand of another, to check him in doing anything (Isa 43:13; Isa 45:9).

20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
12 Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
21 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.
15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.
12 Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
10 And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
