they shall light the lamps . . . that they may give light--The light was derived from pure olive oil, and probably kept continually burning (compare Exo 30:7; Lev 24:2). |
2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.
7 And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.
