Ps 55:22 King James Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

thy burden--literally, "gift," what is assigned you.

he shall sustain--literally, "supply food," and so all need (Psa 37:25; Mat 6:11).

to be moved--from the secure position of His favor (compare Psa 10:6).

6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.

25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

11 And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
